Summer Classes

We teach summer classes to children ages 3-9 in cooking, art, acting, pottery, & science.

Acting Class - This class will be based on children's fairy tales! Children will create their own costumes from a variety of used clothes and fabric as well as build their own props out of recycled or used items. The children will learn to recite their own lines and, act out their own movements and most importantly, have FUN! On the final day of class, they will perform their favorite fairy tale play for family and friends!

Arts & Crafts Class - If your child likes to engage in arts & crafts projects in their spare time, then this is a class he/she will enjoy. This class will allow your child to express their creativity through a variety of art mediums. A different project will be created each day.

Gooey, Slippery, Weird, and Fun Experiment Class - If your child is always mixing his or her own concoctions, then this is the class for him/her! Your children will explore the wonderful world of science by following a variety of creative recipes. Your childs five senses will come alive! He or she will improve their observation skills, and learn how to make scientific conclusions of their own. Different concoctions will be introduced each session.

Pottery Class - If your child enjoys working with his/her hands, then this is the class he/she has been waiting for. Each participant will create a variety of hand built clay projects. Each child will have the opportunity to work his/her project at his/her own pace, based on his/her skills & abilities. All pottery will be glazed by your child and kiln fired by Miss Kimberly.

Cooking Class - If your child is always trying to help you in the kitchen, then this is the class for them! Each day, your children will be given the opportunity to create a new type of delight to feast on! The children will learn to recognize simple ingredients, and how to measure different quantities. They will also learn how to use various kitchen utensils such as a handwisk, spatula, etc. Older children will also have the opportunity to learn how to read recipes.
